PURPOSE:To display depth of field on a display means and to easily take a photograph optional depth of field by inputting the focal length of a lens, the distance to a subject, and a stop value to an arithmetic circuit and calculating the depth of field. CONSTITUTION:An optional stop value is set in the arithmetic circuit 13 incorporated in a camera with a stop value setting switch 7, a priority mode is set with a mode changeover switch 8, and depth of focus is specified with short- distance and long-distance setting switches 9a and 9b. Further, a set stop value corresponding to the quantity of light measured by a photosensor 11 is applied to the circuit 13 from an exposure control circuit 12 and a lens focal length detecting circuit 14 detects and applies the focal lengt of the lens to the circuit 13. Further, a distance calculating circuit 16 calculates the distance to the subject with a signal from an AF sensor 15 and inputs the calculated value to the circuit 13. The circuit 13 calculates the depth of field from the respective set values, and input focal length, subject distance, and stop value and the depth of field is display on a display device 10, so that a photograph with the optional depth of field is taken. |
