PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material without ground fog, improved in the whiteness and excellent in the distinction of the image, by preparing a heat-sensitive color developing layer coating liquid containing a fluoran lactone compound and an acid material that can develop the color of said compound at a high temperature, storing the coating liquid at a warm temperature, cooling it, and coating it on a support. CONSTITUTION:To an aqueous solution of a fluoran lactone compound which is generally colorless or light-colored, e.g., 2-(N-phenylamino)-6-[N-ethyl-N-(p-tolyl)] aminofluoran, and an acid material, e.g., 2,2-bis(p-hydroxyphenyl)propane) are added a protective colloid such as polyvinyl alcohol, a surface active agent, etc. to disperse them, and then a binding agent is added to obtain the heat-sensitive color developing layer coating liquid. After the coating liquid is stored at 35-60 deg.C, it is cooled, coated on a support of quality paper or the like, and then dried to obtain the aimed recording material. |
