<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an engine cover from deformation in collision by forming a connection having a play allowing for pivoting of the cover between both fixed portions on the cover side constituting an engine cover deformation retraining device and the car body member side. CONSTITUTION:An engine cover deformation restraining device 21 is formed of a fixed portion 22 provided on the bottom surface portion 19 of an engine cover 9 and a fixed portion 23 provided on the bottom surface 33 of a bulk head 18. And the fixed portion 22 is secured on one end side fixedly to said bottom surface portion 19 of engine cover 9 and formed on an end of the other end side with a hook portion 24. Also, the fixed portion 23 is L-shaped with a base plate 25 and a side plate 26 and securd fixedly to the bottom surface portion 33 of the bulk head 18 by utilizing the base plate 25. Further, the hook portion 24 is fitted in a slot 27 provided in the side plate 26 to form a connection 37 and a necessary minimum play for allowing the engine cover 9 to pivot is provided between the hook portion 24 and slot 27.</p> |
