PURPOSE:To make the average use of all pins possible and to prolong the average life of a specific pin, by controlling the number of a pin by the amount of line feeds to the pin specified for cross ruled line printing. CONSTITUTION:The master CPU part 3 which detects the pattern data of a cross ruled line among printing data and indicates the conversion of a printing pin on this detection output and the printing head CPU part 4 which selectively converts the printing pin by the conversion indication signal outputted from the master CPU part 3 to drive it are possessed. When after printing for one line, the following cross ruled line is printed by detecting the cross ruled line printing data with the inside of printer, the pin indication of printer head among the cross ruled line printing data fed from a word processor is made different from the pin indication before the line feed with the inside of printer and the concentrated load by a specific pin is reduced by cross ruled line printing of the following line. Thereby, the average life of the specific pin can be prolonged. |
