PURPOSE:To machine a rotary workpiece with high accuracy and high efficiency by detecting imbalance in rotation due to difference in weight, error in mounting position, etc. of said workpiece and carrying out automatic correction by a rotation imbalance correcting means housed in a unit. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft 80 is rotated by a motor 81, a differential amount rotates a ball screw nut 73 with respect to a ball screw 71, axially moving a taper rod 49 in accordance with the lead of the screw, and moving a weight in the radial direction. And, the quantity of deflection of a main spindle generated due to imbalance, is detected by a displacement detector 82 installed on a machine body 12. As for the position of the imbalance, a pulse signal from an angle detector 83 is operated to detect an angle, and the signal on the quantity of deflection of the main spindle and the signal on the angle are sent to the control unit of the machine body and converted into driving signals for motors 71 and 80 to carry out automatic correction of imbalance. Thus, the imbalance in rotation due to the imbalance in rotation and shift in mounting position of a workpiece itself can be automatically corrected. |
