MULTIPLE DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To improve the relative visibility of a fixed display part and a movable display part, by performing respective displays so that the superposed part of the fixed and movable display parts is perfectly contained in the fixed display part when both display parts are superposed and a gap is present in both display parts even if the both display parts approach when not superposed. CONSTITUTION:The titled apparatus is constituted of a display means and a display control means. The display means is lighted by a predetermined display color and has a large number of display picture elements performing display and is arranged to the instrument board of a vehicle. The display control means controls the lighting of the display picture elements according to predetermined display data and generates a fixed display part as graduations and a movable display part as a moving indicator on the display means and sets the width of the fixed display part so as to make the same larger than that of the movable display part. The display movement control part of the display control part performs control so that the end edge parts of both display parts are not superposed and the superposed part is contained in the fixed display part in such a case that the superposed part with the fixed display part is generated when the movable display part moves while the end edge part of both display parts are not superposed when no superposed part is generated. The display color control part of the display control means performs control so that the display color of the superposed part of both display parts is different from that of the fixed display part.
