PURPOSE:A pet food in which a processed tomato product is added to fish or animal meat or their by-products to greatly improve palatability to dogs and cats. CONSTITUTION:Fish meat, animal meat, or their by-products such as poultry bones, swine or bovine bones or their internal organs are minced into small pieces. They may be mixed. Then, processed tomatoes such as minced ripe tomatoes after cutting off their green parts, tomato juice or dried tomato powder are added to the above meat by 0.5-5.0wt% on the solid basis, further, when necessary, other cereals, starch, sugar, animal or vegetable proteins, oil, vitamins, minerals, fungicides, colorants and so on, are admixed to give the objective good-quality pet food. |
