PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of an enclosed rotary compressor having high quality by forming a flange section abutting on the inside of an enclosed steel plate shell on the outercircumference of a steel plate muffler cover to be tightened through bolts to the compressing mechanism then securing through welding at that portion. CONSTITUTION:A muffler cover 3 constructing a muffler chamber is fixed through bolts 4 to the cylinder 2 of a compressing mechanism. A flange section 3b contacting against the inside of an enclosed shell (a) is formed on the outercircumference of said muffler cover 3 then said portion is secured through welding to support the compression mechanism onto the enclosed shell (a). Since the muffler cover 3 and the enclosed shell (a) are formed with a steel plate, securing through welding is facilitated while thermal distortion of the cylinder 2 due to welding can be prevented. |
