PURPOSE:To realize power focusing operations with the most suitable uniform operability irrespectively of a set focal length, by controlling the moving speed of a focusing lens in accordance with the position of a variable-power lens at the time of power focusing operations. CONSTITUTION:When a focusing operation in an appropriate direction is instructed from a focusing operation instruction means 1, a motor drive control means 4 controls a motor 5 by means of a speed setting means 19 which outputs driving speed information in accordance with the positions of a variable-power lens and focusing lens and a direction signal from the instruction means 1. Naturally, the moving speed of the focusing lens 6 is also controlled to one corresponding to the positions of the variable-power lens and focusing lens. |
