The weighing operation is carried out on a toilet seat 1 which is mounted so as to be floating on a rigid base 7 articulated to a hinge 8 integral with the rear support; three force sensors, equipped with deformation gauges 5 mounted on blades 4, are fastened by means of screws on a reinforced hump 6 of the base 7, the said base resting on the top of a bowl by way of pads 11 which are in a sufficient number to avoid flexions; the toilet seat rests on stops 2 which have a progressive deformation, a rounded-off conical shape, and are engaged in a recess 3 inside the toilet seat, a flexible joint 12 securing the toilet seat on the base 7 over its entire periphery by sealing the volume between the base and the toilet seat in which the electronic measurement means are accommodated. <IMAGE>
