The feed-roll, provided for delivering food in granule or powder form, includes a hopper 10 which is open at the bottom, over its entire length, above a longitudinal roll 12. The lower edge of a first wall 7 of the hopper 10 is flush with the roll 12, whereas the edge of a second wall 4 is a slight distance away from it. A trough 28 is arranged beneath the roll 12. During operation, the roll 12 rotates from the first wall 7 towards the second wall 4. On the lower edge of the second wall 4 is mounted a flap 15 which can be adjusted with respect to the roll 12 by means arranged on the outside or in the upper part of the hopper 10. The roll 12 is rotationally driven by an electric motor which can be connected to a programming device. <IMAGE>
