摘要 PURPOSE:To get an inertia supercharging effect equalized all over the range, by setting a rotary valve in an intake route, which is formed of the intake port of an engine and an intake pipe for inertia supercharging, which is connected to said intake port of the engine, and varying the valve opening time of said rotary valve, according to the rotational speed of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A rotary valve 12 is set in an intake route, which is formed of the intake port 6 of an engine E and an intake pipe 11 for inertia supercharging, which is connected to said intake port 6. The valve opening time of this rotary valve 12 is varied according to the rotational speed of the engine E, by an opening/closing time control means formed of a control piece, which is engaged with such as a centrifuging weight and a spring, or a lever and a helical spline, and can be moved along the shaft's direction. In this way, at each rotational speed of the engine E, the opening/closing time of the rotary valve 12 and that of an intake valve 8 are made coincide with each other, in about three quarters of the whole range of the speed. When the rotational speed of the engine E is lowered, the air intake is started by delaying the valve opening time of the rotary valve 12, and this air intake is finished by closing the intake valve 8.
