PURPOSE:To make a proper exposure to the face of an objective person regardless of the reflectivity of his clothes even when focal point adjustment and photometrical measurement are made to his clothes from the point of composition, by performing exposure control in accordance with the lower-luminance photometric means out of two photometric means. CONSTITUTION:Two photometrical elements SPC1 and SPC2 for natural light are provided for partial photometrical measurement and exposure is determined by means of one of the two elements which is less in light receiving quantity. Namely, when the photometrical element SPC2 measures the face of an objective person and the other element SPC1 measures the background which is usually brighter than the object, the value of the element SPC2 which is less in light receiving quantity than the other element SPC1 is adopted. Therefore, a proper exposure can be obtained to the face of the object. On the other hand, if the clothes worn by the objective person is dark in color and the reflectivity of the clothes is lower than that of his face, the value of the photometrical element SPC2 is adopted and exposure is adjusted to the lower- luminance clothes. As a result, his face becomes overexposure, but, since negative films usually have sufficiently wide allowance to overexposures, the object can be photographed properly. |
