Electrical coupler, for the round of a weapon system, in order to permit the electrical connection to the firing device. A male connector part 10 is located on the ramp side and a female connector part 12 is located on the round side. Several contact pins 11 or contact surfaces are arranged on the male connector part 10 and exert, in the position of electrical coupling, a thrust on a surface contact ring 12a belonging to the female connector part 12. The male connector 10 and female connector 12 parts are each provided with a short-circuit ring 13 which, in the non-coupled position, short-circuits all the contacts 11, 12a. <IMAGE>
