The present invention relates to a fishing reel intended to be mounted on the front of an archery weapon 2, such as a bow or a crossbow, in order to retain, in the form of a winding, a line linking the reel or the weapon to an arrow carried by the latter, this fishing reel comprising a cylindrical body 1 with raised end edges 4, 5 and a fixing member 7, 9 intended for mounting this cylindrical body onto the weapon. According to the invention, the said cylindrical body is formed by a tube 1 only one end of which is finally closed off by a support part 8 of the fixing member 7, 9. Advantageously, the said support part is in the form of a block produced in a material which is less hard than the tube 1 and is permanently embedded into the said end of the latter, while the second end of the tube 1 is closed off by a removable sealing stopper 11, the tube thus forming a hermetically-closed storage case 14. This reel is adapted essentially for bows or crossbows used for fishing. <IMAGE>
