The invention relates to a grating device for grating vegetables or the like. The grating device consists of a cutter with at least one blade and with guide strips extending in the cutting direction on both sides of the blade. Furthermore, the grating device consists of a holder for the product to be cut with a resting flange which extends from one guide strip to the other and rests on the holder in the working position. The resting flange has in its centre a cup which is open at both ends and is aligned transversely to the cutting plane. In order to be able to grate parsley or the like as well using the grating device, the grating device is constructed to be suitable for grating parsley in that the cup is constructed as a stuffing tube which passes through the resting flange and ends with its end facing the blade substantially directly above the cutting edge of the blade in the working position of the holder for the product to be cut.
