PURPOSE:To obtain mixed powder wherein boron nitride powder and the powder of various ceramics are uniformly dispersed by allowing boron or a boron compd. to react with nitrogen or a nitrogen-contg. compd. in the presence of the powder of ceramics other than boron nitride. CONSTITUTION:Boron or a boron compd. is allowed to react with nitrogen or a nitrogen-contg. compd. in the presence of the powder of ceramics other than boron nitride. The simple substance of boron is used and either crystalline or amorphous fluorine can be used. Boron, boron oxide, borates, boron halide, metallic borides, etc., can be preferably used as the boron compd. Ammonia, urea, ammonium chloride, dicyandiamide, melamine, etc., are preferably used as the nitrogen-contg. compd. The powder of aluminum nitride, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, titanium boride, aluminum boride, etc., can be preferably used as the ceramic powder. The reaction of boron or the boron compd. with nitrogen or the nitrogen-contg. compd. can be carried out by the well-known method. |
