<p>Disclosed are simple test devices for providing optical indications of any of a number of different voltage ranges. One embodiment comprises a probe in the form of a handle provided with a contact point and containing optical indicating elements such as light emitting diodes. The indicating stages are connected together and each consist of a combination of at least one resistor and an optical indicating element. Non-linear isolation amplifiers are connected between the stafes and act to distinguish the voltage applied according to its value in a closer voltage range and energize an associated indicating element.</p> |
