PURPOSE:To obtain a wide-band circular and rectangular waveguide converter which can be shortened in overall length by forming a slot line in a plane perpendicular to an H surface along the center of the H surface in parallel to an E surface in a rectangular waveguide. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular waveguide 6 is converted into a slot line 7 firstly and the slot line 7 is converted into a circular waveguide 6 to perform rectangular-circular conversion. In this case, the electric field component E of the waveguide has the same directional component as shown by (c)-(e), so those are connected together to attain wide-band coupling extremely smoothly as shown by (b); and the overall length is relatively short and conversion loss is a little. |
