PURPOSE:To treat a number of specimens easily without using a special collecting tube of pressure resistance, by a method wherein specimen is adsorbed in a glass collecting tube with both ends opened and an adsorbing agent filled therein, the collecting tube is inserted in an introducing device having a heating chamber to be closed airtight, and carrier gas is introduced to the collecting tube. CONSTITUTION:A collecting tube A comprises a glass collecting tube (k) filled with an adsorbing agent (l) and having both ends fixed by glass wool (m) so that specimen is adsorbed in the collecting tube A. A stainless-steel connecting tube 5 is connected to a tube coupled to a branch 7 of a three-way cock 6 leading to a carrier gas bomb (b). The collector tube A and the stainless-steel connecting tube 5 are fitted to a Teflon tube 11. The stainless-steel tube has a bottom attaching member 2 connected to injection port (a) of a separation column using a cap nut 3, and upper end part of the stainless-steel tube is fitted to a joint 4 and the Teflon tube 11 is connected airtighly using cap nuts 9, 10. Carrier gas is introduced from a branch 8 of the cock 6 to the column and a heating chamber 13 is heated to a prescribed temperature, and then the cock is changed to the branch 7 and the carrier gas is introduced to the collecting tube A and specimen gas is introduced to the column inlet port (a). Thus the collecting tube A is attached or detached easily and a number of specimens are treated. |
