PURPOSE:To simplify the construction by furnishing the piston with a solenoid controlled valve mechanism to change the damping force characteristics on the elongated and compressed sides by the use of a solenoid, and by installing in parallel therewith an elongated side and a compressed side damping valve which open against the action of a spring. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 17 is accommodated within a coil cover 16 for a piston 4 of hydraulic damper, and a pilot valve 39 is energized by a coil spring 40, while a non-return valve 38 by a relief spring 41. A block 32 houses a main valve 82 and a center valve 82, and the damping force is controlled continuously. This allows construction in which only one solenoid is used. |
