To adjust the width of the gap in cone-type crushers the reference position is first determined by bringing the crushing cone close to the fixed casing of the crusher. Using this reference position, it is then possible to move the crusher cone to its operating position, which corresponds to the predetermined gap width. To improve the accuracy of the adjustment process taking into account uneven wear in the region of the crusher cone and crusher casing, the solution proposed is to perform several successive approach cycles of the rotating crusher cone, to record the approach values thus obtained and finally to establish a reference value which determines the reference position. |
