The patent application is concerned with a dumper truck for picking up and setting down containers, silos, pallets or the like, with two single-component carrying arms which can be pivoted with the aid a pair of hydraulic cylinders.
<??>According to the invention, there is provision for two shoes which are assigned to the carrying arms to be provided at the rear end of the dumper truck, on the rear side of which shoes the carrying arms are rotatably mounted and at the front side of which shoes a pair of hydraulic cylinders are rotatably mounted, and for the pair of hydraulic cylinders to be coupled, on the other hand, to the free ends of the carrying arms.
<??>A substantial advantage is that, as a result of concentrating the picking-up/setting-down mechanism exclusively at the end of the dumper truck, no reinforcements are necessary in the front region of the vehicle frame. As a result, a substantially lower unladen weight results than in the case of conventional dumper trucks, which permits a larger useful load. Also, by virtue of the arrangement according to the invention, the picking-up/setting-down mechanism can easily be constructed so as to be removable, as a result of which a vehicle can be used for example as a customary transport means in addition to its function as a dumper truck.
