摘要 The invention relates to a process and equipment for firing carbon articles in a continuous firing furnace, in particular for firing anode blocks for aluminium production by two-stage heating up to at least 1100 DEG C. In this process, the green carbon articles are passed in suspension through a pre-firing zone, in which they are heated up to temperatures of between 500 and 600 DEG C, all the vaporous and gaseous pyrolysis products being extracted in the direction of rising temperature, being burned behind the side walls and bottom walls of the firing chamber and being used for indirect heating of the carbon articles. The carbon articles pre-fired in this way are finish-fired continuously by direct electric resistance heating at a heating rate of more than 20 DEG C per hour, then moved through a duct cooled on all sides and are continuously discharged.
