The device is a miniature transmitter which is inserted into a bundle of banknotes in a concealed manner, is tuned to the wavelength of the police (lower or upper fringe range) and is unknowingly switched on by the perpetrator himself/herself when the money is illegally appropriated so that an alarm is sent to the police even without action by the victim, and the police are guided by the stolen goods to the perpetrator by tracking even though the perpetrator may take off his/her mask or change his/her vehicle. The device permits monitoring over a large area of the stolen goods, which may be concealed, and in so doing permits the police to act successfully. If possible, there should be no knowledge of the device in criminal circles, but even when such knowledge exists, the perpetrator can be outwitted by the installation of two devices, as he/she will cease to worry and continue packing in the money once the first device has been found. In addition, careful examination of the bundle of banknotes will take longer than it would if he/she was not concerned about the existence of such a device. The time gained in this manner is always advantageous for the police. Finally, the device will enormously increase the risk run by the perpetrator of a theft or robbery and such perpetrators will be made to feel insecure.
