The invention relates to a chair for the disabled, in particular a wheel-chair (1), having a seat (3), a backrest (4) located in the rear region of the seat and armrests (5) located on the sides of the seat. The conventional chairs for the disabled, in particular wheel-chairs, do not always cater sufficiently for patients with above-knee amputations. The difficulty encountered there is the correct positioning of the moderately long to long amputation stumps which project beyond the seating surface (13) of the seat. It is proposed, according to the invention, that at least one leg stump support (11) be located adjacent to the front side (10) of the seat (3), the bearing surface (12) of the leg stump support (11) and the seating surface (13) of the seat (3) essentially forming one plane. <IMAGE> |
