PURPOSE:To reduce an azimuth loss, and also to improve an important signal-to- noise ratio in high density recording by narrowing a track width, and executing a correction processing electrically against the azimuth loss which increases in the high density recording. CONSTITUTION:As for a head part 4, two heads 24, 26 are formed by dividing an effective track width W into two, and separated by a shield 28 in order to eliminate a mutual interference. When an azimuth angle of a gap 23 of this head and a data which has been recorded on a medium 10 is denoted as theta, outputs of two heads 24, 26 are obtained from coils of 30, 32. In this case, as for each head, its output drops since the track width becomes 1/2, but an influence of an azimuth loss becomes small. Signals A, B which have been outputted from two heads 24, 26 generate a position difference T owing to the azimuth angle theta, but this position difference is corrected by using delay lines 18, 20, and both outputs are added 22, and a final output is obtained. |
