The invention is based on seals of this type, in which an apron fastened on a U-shaped frame which is open at the bottom is provided. In this case, a transversely running apron section hangs on the web of the frame. In order to avoid fold formation of this apron section, according to the invention, the web is assigned a bearer with tension cable and tension jack, this cable acting on the web via pressure bars. By changing the cable tension with the aid of the tension jack, the bending of the web can then be changed, in order that the fold formation of the apron section can be influenced.
