CUTTING MACHINE FOR CORE SAND

PURPOSE:To remove easily core sand in short time with less operator's fatigue by using a cutter in the stage of removing the core sand sticking between the two semicircular iron cores in a cast iron pipe when said pipe is cast. CONSTITUTION:Core sand 2 sticking to a cast iron pipe 3 produced by casting is removed in order to remove two iron cores 1 from said pipe. The core sand 2 is removed by cutting with a cutting machine 10 provided with a cutter for the above-mentioned purpose and the iron cores 1 are removed. The cutting machine 10 is provided with a supporting bracket 14 turning freely around a pin 15 to a bracket 13 attached to a swiveling body 12 on a chassis 11 and is provided with an arm 16 projecting from said bracket. The rod side of a swing cylinder 17 is pinned 10 to the arm 16 by a pin 19 and a gate type frame is attached oscillatably to a base frame 33 via a boom 21. Cutter cylinders are provided in the lower right and left parts of said frame and cutters are respectively attached to the rods thereof. The sticking core sand 2 is ground away by said cutters, by which the iron core is easily removed without entry of the operators in the cast iron pipe.
