PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable thermal recording material having high sensitivity and capable of keeping high-quality pictures for long periods by including at least one kind of specific compounds in a thermal color-forming layer containing a leuco dye and a developer as main components, formed on a supporter in the thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material having a thermal color-forming layer containing a leuco dye and a developer as main components on its supporter, at least one of the compounds of the formula (I) is added to the thermal color-forming layer. In the formula (I), R1 and R2 are each a substitution group with unsaturated double bond and R3 and R4 are each H, halogen, or alkyl group, and also(n) is an integer of 0-3. Fading of recorded pictures with time by temperature and humidity can thus be lessened. |
