A cordgrip particularly for cords which control the raising and lowering of "Austrian" blinds which comprises a housing 10 having walls 12, 14, 16, 18 defining a passageway for the cords. A pawl 28 having a cord engaging edge 34 is mounted in the housing. The paw is movable in one direction towards a wall 18 of the housing so as to trap a cord between the edge and the wall 18 and movable in the other direction to release the cord. As shown the paw is pivoted at 32 to the housing. <IMAGE> |
