1. Tubular isolator, particularly for drinking water pipes, comprising an inlet cylinder (2), drainage connection point and outlet cylinder (5), arranged one after the other in the through-flow direction, and also comprising an isolating plunger (6) which is guided for axial displacement in the inlet cylinder (2), which has a pressure-responsive piston flange (7) at the water-inlet end thereof, which is closable by an inlet valve (14) at its inlet end in its isolating setting, and which is displaceable into a through-flow setting bridging the drainage connection point under the pressure of the supply water overcoming the action of a restoring spring (8), wherein the inlet valve (14) and also a check valve (21) provided at the outlet end of the plunger are open in the through-flow setting of the plunger, characterised in that the isolating plunger (6) is provided at its outlet-side end with a further piston flange (18) responsive to pressure at the outlet side thereof, the plunger can be closed by the check valve (21), and between its two piston flanges (7, 18) the plunger has a radial opening (6') which in the through-flow setting of the isolating plunger (6) is closed off circumferentially, but which in the isolating setting is connected to the drainage connection point of the cylinder housing (2). |
