PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture a cable drum having the superior balance by setting the pressing plates having a fitting groove for the fitting between a rib and the right and left collar plates of a machine frame so as to be set oppositely each other and to be brought close to each other and installing an annular holder which can be divided between the both pressing plates and nipping a taking-up drum. CONSTITUTION:The rib of the collar plate 9 of a cable drum is fitted into the fitting grooves 10 of the right and left pressing plates 5 and 6 of a machine frame 1, and an annular holder 21 is divided, and a taking-up drum 41 is interposed therebetween. Then, one pressing plate is bought close to the other pressing plate, and when the collar plate 9 contacts the both edges of the taking-up drum 41, the annular holder 21 is returned into annular form, and the taking-up drum 41 is shaped into cylindrical form and nipped. When, in this state, the annular holder 21 is separated and the pressing plates are revolved, the collar plate 9 and the taking-up drum 41 revolve integrally. Therefore, a cable drum can be assembled by welding the joint part between the collar plate 9 and the taking-up drum 41. Therefore, the axis lines of the right and left collar plates and of the taking-up drum coincide, and the taking-up drum can be formed into cylindrical form. |
