<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin compsn. which has excellent weather resistance and electrical insulating properties and improved ultrasonic-weldability or improved weld strength during molding, consisting of a polyphenylene sulfide mainly composed of a specified structural unit and a copper halide. CONSTITUTION:A polyphenylene sulfide resin composed of at least 90mol% of a repeating unit of formula I and not more than 10mol% of random- copolymerizable units such as a meta linkage of formula II, a copper halide [e.g., at least 0.03% (in terms of Cu) CuCl2] and optionally, glass fiber are melt-kneaded to obtain a polyphenylene sulfide resin compsn.</p> |
