PURPOSE:To increase mechanical strength and leakage resistance by arranging belt-form non-perforated portions at both ends of current collecting layer, bonding the non-perforated portions in liquidtightness, and impregnating polyolefin family copolymer in both ends of electrode sheet. CONSTITUTION:A three layer structure electrode sheet prepared by stacking a water repellent layer having oxygen gas permeable ability, a porous catalyst- layer having oxygen gas reduction ability, and a current collecting layer is curved or bent in a desired form and both ends of the electrode sheet is bonded to form an air electrode. A belt-form non-perforated current collecting part is formed at each end of the current collecting layer and bonded together in liquidtightness by welding, press-bonding, or with adhesive. Polyolefin family copolymer is impregnated to both ends of the electrode sheet. By this process, mechanical strength and leakage resistance of the electrode are increased. |
