摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a soft light with uniform brightness by a method wherein a frosted glass tube is used as the glass covering and sealing a location whereat a light-emitting element abuts against Dumet wires. CONSTITUTION:Dumet wires 2, 3 composed of a Cu-coated Fe-Ni alloy abut against an light-emitting semiconductor element 1 located between the two wires. The abutment is inserted into a glass tube 61 with its inside wall frosted by exposure to HF, heated, and hermetically sealed off. The tube may be of transparent glass but such must be developed into a frosted glass tube 62 by exposing its exterior to a frosting environment after the insertion of the light-emitting device. Or, said abutment may be sealed in a glass tube 63 colored red, for example, when the light-emitting element is a GaP element emitting red light, which is then heated and hermetically sealed off. This method results in a soft, tender light.
