PURPOSE:To enable the determination of the density of ion particularly Cl<-> selectively and quickly in a biological liquid by employing a copolymer film containing a monomer having a hetero cycle in the side chain at a specified ratio as the reaction film for an ion selective electrode. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer is made of 10-40mol% of a monomer having a hetero cycle in the side chain such as 4-vinylpyridine, vinylacridine and vinylimidasol and stysene monomer or the like. A solution such as tetrahydrofuran of the copolymer is evaporated naturally on a glass plate or the like to form an induction film for selective electrode for anion, particularly Cl<->. This film bonded on a porous ceramic plate 4 at the lower end of an insulation pipe 1. A KCl aqueous solution 3 is put into the pipe and an electrode 2 immersed into the solution to make an ion selective electrode 7. Thus, a selective determination of the density of anion can be quickly done linearly at a high accuracy with a large film strength in a large range of 3X10<-5>-3X10<-2>mol.dm<-3>. |
