PURPOSE:To detect commutation failure at low cost without using an exclusive device by judging the flowing of current through a motor by utilizing a current- vector phase detector and detecting commutation failure by using the result of the decision. CONSTITUTION:When the vector of an AC motor is controlled through an inverter, a detector through which each phase current of the AC motor is changed into bit patterns and the phase of the vector of the currents is detected is required. The flowing of currents from the bit patterns is discriminated, and the result of the discrimination of the flowing of current through a power rectifier is added to the result of the discrimination, thus detecting commutation failure. |
