PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a recording image and to facilitate adjusting operation by performing an image forming and transfer process repeatedly for the same color and updating the 1st and the 2nd parameters. CONSTITUTION:When the image forming and transfer process is carried out twice, respective characteristics are different, so a test copy needs to be taken every time parameters are changed, so adjusting operation is very troublesome. The necessity of adjustments for shifting composite characteristics (A+B) from a linear state (ideal characteristics) is small, so if the composite characteristics are set linear in an initial state, desired density characteristics are obtained only by varying parameters of the 1st process and the 2nd process by the same extent. Therefore, when a parameter adjusting means sends out a parameter change indication, the parameters of the 1st and the 2nd processes are updated. Consequently, parameters of each process need not be adjusted individually, so density adjusting operation is made easier and the number of times of the test copy is decreased. |
