PURPOSE:To ensure safety for the backward motion of a car by taking information about a condition up to a predetermined stop position through a rear side sensor, a car speed sensor and an injection sensor, and making a computer automatically control a car on the information so taken. CONSTITUTION:When a car 10 is driven back and stopped at a position near a stop plate S, an operation switch 23 is turned 'ON' after the arrival of the car within an area about a few meters-10m forward of the stop plate S. And at the time of inputting back gear information by a reduction gear sensor 14, present distance D given from a rear side detecting sensor 11 and present car speed D from a car speed sensor 12 are first inputted to CPU 21. Then, when the distance D is over a predetermined stop distance D0, injection from an injection pump 17 is reduced and a brake valve 30 is slightly opened for reducing the speed of a car 10. Thereafter, when D is equal to or less than D0, the injection pump 17 is put into a condition of almost no fuel injection, the clutch is made off and the brake valve 30 is wide opened for stopping the car 10 completely. |
