PURPOSE:To improve starting performance, by stopping flameout operation effected by inputting a prescribed signal from low speed sensing means and a prescribed signal from engine r.p.m. sensing means when a gear is at a prescribed position thereby to release a regulation of an engine r.p.m. at start. CONSTITUTION:When a motorcycle and the like start, low speed sensing means 12 outputs '1' because a motorcycle speed is substantially zero. When an engine is driven at a high speed greater than 7,000r.p.m., for example, to ensure a smooth and quick start, engine r.p.m. sensing means 13 also outputs '1'. Intrinsically, an AND gate circuit 15 outputs '1' in such circumstances to conduct a thyristor 17 so that an ignition device 1 is in a flameout state. However, when a motorcycle starts, a 1st gear position is selected usually and a gear position switch 19 is closed. Thus, output from the AND gate circuit 15 is discharged through the gear position switch 19 and the thyristor 17 is held at a non-conductive state whereby the flameout operation is stopped. |
