PURPOSE:To manufacture a roller base material simply and accurately by forming the small diameter bearing part of a cylindrical material by drawing the part with a filler inserted in the bearing part. CONSTITUTION:The filler 6 is a columnlike bar, is inserted into the bearing part 22a previously, and is fixed to the part 22a by drawing, when the part 22a is formed by drawing. The filler 6 is sealed hermetically without any clearance after the drawing. The filler 6 is desirable to be made of a metal such as iron and stainless steel or of other materials which have a some elasticity and are able to fix to the bearing part 22a surely after the drawing. The shape of the filler 6 is allowed to be a round bar or an optional shape. In that way, the roller base body is sealed hermetically for any finished dimension of the diameter of the bearing part and any material and thickness of the roller base body.
