PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from abruptly starting, by changing over a power transmission path form a cut-off control mode to a starting mode or a speed shift mode after a safe condition of a vehicle is confirmed in accordance with a safety confirming signal from a safe condition detecting circuit during a seat belt being worn. CONSTITUTION:When the driver has not yet worn a seat belt, a seat belt wearing detecting circuit 4 does not issues a seat belt wearing signal S3, and therefore, an electronic control circuit 10 delivers a transmission control signal S2 and a clutch control signal S1 for isolating a transmission 2 and/or a clutch 3. That is, a part of a transmission path is cut off to inhibit the vehicle from starting and shifting the speed. Further, at this time, an output signal S9 is delivered to an alarm 9 to warn the driver that seat belt should be worn. Further, during the seat belt being worn, the vehicle is returned into the starting or speed shift control mode after a safe and stopping condition is confirmed by a safe condition detecting circuit 8. |
