发明名称 FORMATION OF LIGHT GUIDE USING ORGANIC CRYSTALLINE COMPOUND
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of the light guide by growing a monocrystal of an org. compd. in a space lying between a substrate and an auxiliary cover. CONSTITUTION:The titled light guide is prepared by forming a structure in which the auxiliary cover 3 is equipped on the substrate 2 having a smooth surface or a worked surface given an optional pattern through a spacer, and by holding the structure in a solution 4 of the crystalline org. compd. to grow the monocrystal 1 of the org. compd. in the spacer lying between the substrate and the auxiliary cover. The prescribed compd. comprises a 2-methyl-4- nitroaniline and a diacetylene monomer. When the monocrystalline monomer is used as the org compd., the crystal of the polymer is prepared by polymerizing the monocrystal of the monomer physically or chemically. When the thin layer of the polymer composed of the polydiacetylene is used as a clad, the glass having a high refractive index such as Ta2O5 glass etc is used on the surface of the substrate.
