PURPOSE:To prevent the increase in the capacity and the like of a starter and battery at the time of cranking by setting the target line pressure at a lower value than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The outputs from an engine revolution sensor 74 and a starter switch 86 are entered into a line pressure compensating part 87 to detect the cranking condition by both signals, and, at the time of cranking, the target line pressure is set at a lower value than a prescribed value. Thus, since the driving force for a pump at the time of cranking is reduced and accordingly a small cranking force becomes sufficient, a comparatively small capacity starter, battery and the like enable the starting of the engine and at the same time the driving of the pump. |
