<p>PURPOSE:To prevent mixing-up of continuous recording sheets and hand-feed recording sheets by allowing a sheet feeding device to feed selectively sheets from a cassette and ones from a hand-feed tray and by exhausting recorded sheets to an exhaust tray from respective exhaust ports. CONSTITUTION:In case hand-feed tray 6f is in vertical position, sheets P are fed from a cassette 6a via a sheet feeder 6 to undergo recording, and exhausted from a fixation device 9 by an exhaust roller 10a, when a guide plate 6g and a switching member displacing means 10f will operate interlocked and an exhaust direction switching means 10e be in position shown by solid line, and the sheets are exhausted by an exhaust roller 10b from an exhaust port 10g to an exhaust tray 10h. If the hand-feed tray 6f is fallen in the b direction, on the other hand, to provide the hand-feed mode, said guide plate 6g displaces to the left, and the displacing means 10f will displace interlocked to drive the switching member 10e into the position shown by broken line. The sheets are exhausted from another exhaust port 10i to exhaust tray 10j. This ensures that recording sheets for continuous and hand-feed sheets are not mixed up.</p> |
