MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST INFLUENZA VIRUS A AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

NEW MATERIAL:A monoclonal antibody belonging to human IgG class, having anti-influenza virus A activity and produced from human lymphoblastoid cell transformed by Epstein-Barr virus. USE:Diagnosis, prevention and remedy for disease caused by the infection with influenza virus A. PREPARATION:The objective monoclonal antibody can be produced e.g. by (1) adding the supernatant liquid of cultured Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) strain to human lymphocyte, (2) culturing and transforming the obtained EBV-infected lymphocyte, (3) separating a cell strain reactive to HA antigen of influenza virus A from the resultant B-type lymphoblastoid cell and (4) cloning and culturing the cell strain.
