PURPOSE:To obtain an optical signal output having an optional objective level by providing a switching mechanism which can switch and select plural optical signal transmission driving parts and plural optical signal transmitting parts. CONSTITUTION:An attenuated optical signal inputted from a line is detected by an optical signal detecting part 1 and has the waveform shaped by an equalizing amplifying part 2. This waveform-shaped signal is distributed to a timing extracting part 3 and a signal discriminating part 4 to reproduce a propagated signal. For this reproduced signal, optional one of optical signal transmission driving parts 91-9n and that of optical signal transmitting parts 101-10n are selected by a switching mechanism 8 controlled by the electromagnetic field signal from the external of a repeating installation. Thus, the optical signal output having an optional level is supplied to a transmission line through an optical signal switch 11. |
