PURPOSE:To automatically change over the operation of a turbocharger in an engine to enhance the maneuverability and workability of a farm working machine, by operat ing the turbocharger only when a traveling speed change lever is shifted to a high speed traveling position exceeding a normal working control position. CONSTITUTION:A turbine chamber 9 incorporating therein a turbine 8 of a turbocharger 4 is arranged in the intermediate section of an exhaust manifold 7 between a cylinder head 5 and a muffler 6, bypassing the manifold 7, and a change-over valve 10 is dis posed in the inlet section of the chamber 9. Further, a gear shift lever 2 is attached to the speed change shaft 20 of a continuously variable speed change type hydraulic power transmission device so that the lever 2 may be rotated from a neutral position (a) to a forward travel side (b) or a backward travel side (c). Further, the limit position (d) of a normal working speed range is set at an intermediate position of the forward travel position (b), and further, a high speed travel position (e) is set at a position on the high speed side of the limit position (d). With this arrangement, when the gear shift lever 2 is manipulated to the position (e), an interlock mechanism L rotates the change-over valve to a position indicated by the solid line to operate the turbocharger 4. |
