The dredging machine according to the invention is of the type guided by a cable 5 which also allows movement by means of a winch 4; it comprises at least one rotary clearing tool 9 extending at least over the entire length of the said dredging machine and whose axis of rotation 17 is horizontal and perpendicular to the direction of progress; the said tool 9 is mounted in a casing 8 supported by a central pole 7 sliding in a bracket-shaped frame 6, firmly fixed to the dredging machine, and it is guided in slideways 24 arranged on each side of the said dredging machine. <IMAGE>
